The 2002 Falcon volleyball squad ended its season Saturday (Nov. 23) with a three-game loss to Central Michigan, 23-30, 17-30, 21-30. BG compiled an overall record of 9-21 and a Mid-American Conference record of 4-14 this season. The Chippewas improve to 13-19 overall and 8-1 in the MAC and will most likely hold a spot in a quarterfinal match of the conference tournament.
Bowling Green was led offensively by senior Kristin Gamby who posted the only double digit total in the kill department. The Mt. Victory native recorded 13 kills to reach a career total of 1,024. This mark gives Gamby a hold on 10th place in the books. Gamby also tallied her 1,000th attack attempt of the season during the match.
Susie Norris and Laura Twyman each recorded six kills for the Falcons while Emily Manser and Nadia Bedricky each tallied 10 digs apiece. The Falcons out-blocked the Chips nine to three with Taylor Twite leading BG with 5, and Gamby and Twyman each recording three.
