Netter Leads Falcons To Win in MAC Opener

Bowling Green, Ohio - Junior center Kevin Netter scored a career-high 36 points and host BGSU shot 52.9 percent from the floor as they cruised to a 76-59 victory over Buffalo in the MAC opener for both teams. BGSU is 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the MAC, while the Bulls fell to 2-3 and 0-1.
Netter hit 12 of 22 shots and knocked down 12 of 15 free throws as he doubled his previous career-best of 18 set last year against Indiana State and in 2000 against Urbana.
The Falcons led the entire game and forced 18 first-half turnovers enroute to a 34-23 lead at intermission.
Sophomore John Reimold knocked in a season-high 19 points, including five of seven from long distance. Junior point guard Jabari Mattox matched his career-high with seven points.
BGSU will play this Saturday at Northwestern.
