
Men's Hoops Annihilates Akron, 76-46

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Brandon Pardon scored 21 points and made five of Bowling Green's 11 3-pointers as the Falcons routed Akron 76-46 Saturday.
Cory Ryan had 12 points - all on 3s - Josh Almanson scored 11, Keith McLeod had nine and Brent Klassen and Len Matela both got eight points for the Falcons (21-6, 11-5 Mid-American Conference).
Andy Hipsher was the only Akron (9-18, 5-11) player to reach double figures with 10 points. He also had nine rebounds. Rashon Brown wad held to two points, 18 below his average in conference play.
The Falcons outscored the Zips 30-8 over the last 13 minutes of the first half to take a 42-21 lead. Pardon scored eight points and made two of his 3-pointers during the surge. He finished 5-of-8 on 3-pointers.
Bowling Green made 11-of-21 from 3-point range and shot 55 percent from the field. Akron shot only 33 percent and was 1-of-9 on 3s.
