BGSU Men's Golfers Finish 15th at Marshall Invitational

Huntington, W.V. - The Bowling Green men's golf team finished the weekend 15th at the Marshall Invitational on Saturday, carding a three-round team score of 911. Toledo won the invite with a score of 877, followed by Illinois (884), Ohio State (888) and Kentucky (889). Twenty teams competed in the two-day event at Guyan Golf & Country Club.
Falcon senior Brian Gerken was the highest finisher for coach Garry Winger, carding a three-round score of 224 (77, 74, 73), ending tied for 25th overall. Adam Balls and Austin Chase tied for 53rd with a score of 228, followed by Justin Gillham (T-84, 237) and Andy Miller (93rd, 239).
Bowling Green wraps up its 2002 regular season schedule April 20-21 with a trip to the First Energy Men's Intercollegiate in Akron, Ohio. The Mid-American Conference tournament will be held May 2-4 in Westerville, Ohio.
