#16 Badgers Best BG In Three

The University of Wisconsin, ranked 16th in the nation, downed the Bowling Green State University volleyball team in three games (30-10, 30-18, 30-23) Friday night (Sept. 20). The match, played before a crowd of nearly 3,000, was the first for both squads at UW's Badger Invitational.
The Falcons fall to 3-7 on the year, while the host Badgers are now 7-2 in 2002.
UW freshman Lauren Ford set a school record for a three-game match by hitting .875 (14-0-16), as the Badgers hit .380 as a team.
The Falcons got a team-high nine kills from junior Susie Norris. UW limited the Brown and Orange to a team hitting pct. of .029 on the evening.
Emily Manser led the visitors with 10 digs, while Norris had eight. Both Laura Twyman and Bridget Protas had three total blocks.
UW's Lisa Zukowski and Amy Hultgren had 10 kills apiece, while a trio of Badgers had 11 digs each.
The Falcons will continue action in the Badger Invitational Saturday, taking on Illinois at Chicago at 10 a.m. (CT) and Tulane at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
