Gainesville, Florida - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team placed fourth in The Dodge Premiere, held in Gainesville Florida. The host school, the University of Florida, won the meet with a score of 195.975.
Leading the Falcons was junior co-captain Melissa Popovich (Medina, OH) who posted a 9.825 on the floor exercise to finish third in the event. Popovich also posted a 9.625 on the vault as well as a 9.725 on the uneven bars.
Senior Ann Marie Kassouf (Middleburg Heights, OH) compiled an all-around score of 37.700 to lead the Falcons and placed her eighth in the competition.
Up next the Falcons hit the road, traveling to Kent State. The meet is set for Sunday, February 2, 2:00 p.m.
