
Falcon Swimmers Drop Two Meets Over Weekend

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green swimming and diving team dropped two dual meets over the weekend to Mid-American Conference opponents Toledo and Eastern Michigan. The Falcons lost at UT on Friday (179-119) and at EMU on Saturday (200-100).
BGSU won five of 16 events against the Rockets on Friday with two wins each coming from freshman Caroline Keating in the 200 free (1:55.20) and 500 free (5:05.52), and senior diver Molly Peterson in the 1 meter (232.13) and 3 meter (222.75). Sophomore Dana Schultz captured the 200 butterfly in 2:10.60.
Falcons with runner-up finishes against the Rockets included Kara Ohngren in 1,000 free (10:36.71) and 200 IM (2:16.02), Brittany O'Connor in the 100 backstroke (1:00.31) and 200 backstroke (2:09.69), Carlyn Cusack in the 1 meter (2:03.34), and Lindsay Hines in the 3 meter (2:00.55).
At EMU, Keating and Schultz led the way again for the Falcons. Keating captured and improved her times in both the 200 free (1:54.82) and 500 free (5:04.40). Schultz won the 200 butterfly and bettered her time from the previous night, as well (2:09.64).
Kara Ohngren (1650 free, 17:37.16), Brittany O'Connor (100 backstroke, 1:01.33 and 200 backstroke, 2:10.65), Sarah Agnew (100 breaststroke, 1:10.25), and Erin Dilkes (200 breaststroke, 2:30.07) all had runner-up finishes against the Eagles.
The Falcons next compete in South Bend, Ind., against Notre Dame and Louisville this Friday, Nov. 14.
