Falcons Fall Short To Western Michigan, 67-65

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Robby Collum scored six of his 18 points in the closing minutes to lead Western Michigan to a 67-65 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday.
Collum made two free throws with 2:38 remaining to give the Broncos (14-7, 6-6 Mid-American Conference) a 57-56 lead and had a layup with 1:46 to play to make it 59-56. He also made two free throws with 17 seconds left to put Western Michigan ahead 66-63.
The Falcons (10-12, 6-8) got within two points when Ron Lewis made one of two free throws with 11 seconds to play.
After Mike Williams split two free throws for the Broncos to make it 67-64, Lewis was fouled while shooting a 3-pointer with three seconds left. A chance to tie the score, Lewis made only one of three free throws.
Bobby Madison added 13 points and Jeff Bronson had 11 for the Broncos.
Kevin Netter led the Falcons with 17 points. Lewis scored 15, but also committed nine of Bowling Green's 22 turnovers.
John Reimold and Cory Ryan added 11 points each for Bowling Green.
