Rockets End Falcon Win Streak, 68-64

Bowling Green, Ohio - Keith Triplett scored 15 of his 25 points in the second half as Toledo beat Bowling Green 68-64 Saturday. The loss to the Rockets puts the Falcons on the road in the first round of the MAC Tournament, Monday evening. BGSU will be the ninth seed and will either play at Ball State (if Marshall beats Miami) or at Eastern Michigan (if Marshall loses to Miami).
The Rockets (13-15, 7-11 Mid-American Conference) led 34-26 at the half and never trailed after that. The Falcons came within two twice in the final minute, on John Reimold's 3-pointer with 38 seconds to go and his two free throws with seven seconds left.
BGSU held brief leads in the first half, 9-6 with 11:36 left in the half, and 24-22 with 4:12 remaining in the first half.
Triplett, who shot 10-for-18 from the field, was perfect on four free-throw attempts, including two with one second left. UT built a 15-point advantage, 51-36 with 11:29 remaining, but BGSU went on a 16-4 run to close the gap to 55-52 with 6:21 left in the game.
Reimold and Ron Lewis each finished with 18 points and Kevin Netter had 17 for Bowling Green (12-15, 8-10).
Nick Moore added 15 points for the Rockets.
