Huntington, W.Va. - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team is 12th after two rounds at the 34th annual Marshall Invitational at the Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W.Va. The Falcons have a team score of 589 after day one (293, 296).
The final round of the invitational will be played on Saturday.
Leading the Falcons is sophomore Austin Chase who is tied for 21st place with a two-round score of 144. He carded a 73 and 71 in those two rounds. The next best placer so far for BGSU is redshirt-sophomore Craig Pickerel, who is tied for 37th with a score of 148 (72, 76). Other Falcons competing are freshman Chris Leake (T-64th, 152), freshman Bud Ziglar (T-71st, 153), and senior Andy Miller (T-78th, 156).
Illinois leads the 16-team invitational after day one with a score of 556.
