Cross Country Falcons Named To MAC Academic Honor Roll

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference office has authorized the release of the MAC Academic Honor Roll for the 2002-03 academic year, and 15 members of the Bowling Green State University cross country teams were among those honored. The BGSU athletic department had a total of 122 student-athletes selected.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. True freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.
Four Falcon men's cross country athletes were honored, including graduate student Mario Rothmund, senior Troy Stiles, junior Ed Stonestreet and sophomore Kris Lachowski. (Note: Each student-athlete's year of eligibility reflects the 2002-03 academic year.)
The BGSU women's cross country team had 11 representatives, including seniors Cyndi Bostdorff, Katrina Kerns, Briana Killian, Sarah Lohrbach, Christy Paine, Beth Scheall and Kristin Spicer, juniors Amber Culp, Leighann Kramer and sophomores Elise Gould and Melissa Krueger.
BGSU's list of honorees follow. The cumulative GPA figures for each student-athlete are through the fall, 2002, semester, as the nominations were made before the conclusion of the spring, 2003, semester.
