
Falcons Handle Central Michigan, 86-61

Bowling Green, Ohio - Four players scored in double figures and Bowling Green (8-8, 4-2 MAC) continued its hot shooting from the floor in defeating Central Michigan (3-12, 0-5 MAC), 86-61, Sunday at Anderson Arena. The Falcons shot a season-high 63.6 percent from the floor and 61.5 percent from three-point range as BGSU rolled to its fifth victory in six games and season-long third consecutive triumph. Including their win at Akron on Wednesday, BGSU has shot 61.4 percent from the floor in the last two games and 59.3 percent from three-point range.
The Falcons never trailed in the game and led 44-30 at halftime. Senior Kevin Netter and junior John Reimold led BGSU with 20 points apiece and junior Josh Almanson added 16 points and eight rebounds and sophomore Ron Lewis chipped in 15 points and five boards.
The Falcons had a MAC season-best 27 assists, led by Lewis (ties his career-high) and sophomore Steven Wright who had seven. Reimold also established a career-high with five. BGSU committed a season-low 11 turnovers and is now at the .500 mark for the first time since December 3.
BGSU will play at Toledo at 7 p.m., Thursday, January 22.
