Swimmers Come Up Short Versus Ohio, 155-145

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team nearly defeated Mid-American Conference leaders, Ohio University Saturday afternoon at Cooper Pool, 155-145. Sophomore Stephanie Buckner placed atop both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.60 and 53.89.
Along with capturing first-place in the 100-breastroke Erin Dilkes established a new personal-best of 1:08.33. She also placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a mark of 2:24.70.
Senior Molly Peterson dominated the diving events, capturing first-place in the one (228.90) and three-meter (256.50) diving competitions.
The Falcons return to action next Friday when they welcome the Miami Redhawks to Cooper Pool. The meet is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
