DEKALB, Ill. (AP) - Josh Almanson scored 18 points as Bowling Green beat Northern Illinois 69-52 Wednesday night.
Bowling Green (11-13, 7-7 Mid-American) took a commanding 31-13 lead at the half before Northern Illinois was able to regroup. The Huskies shot 4 of 28 from the field in first half, but came back and converted 12 of 24 from the field in the second half, but it was too late.
A big difference in the outcome was Bowling Green converting 29 of 38 from the foul line and Northern Illinois was 13 of 26.
Bowling Green was led by Josh Almanson with 18 points. John Reimold, Cory Eyink and Ron Lewis each scored 11 points.
Northern Illinois was led by Rome Sanders with 12 points and Perry Smith added 10.
