Falcons Finish 13th at Northern Intercollegiate

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished 13th at the Northern Intercollegiate Golf Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
BGSU finished with a team score of 922 (301-310-311), just two strokes back of Akron (924). The host Badgers captured the event with a score of 862 (289-276-297).
Senior Craig Pickerel was the top Falcon, finishing tied for 26th with a score of 227 (74-73-80). Junior Chris Leake finished tied for 54th with a score of 232 (77-82-73), junior Heath Ziglar finished tied for 59th by carding a score of 234 (77-77-80), while sophomore Brad Dearsman and freshman Trevor Spathelf each tied for 62nd with a score of 236.
The Falcons travel back to Big Ten country this weekend when they play in the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa (Sept. 25-26).
