BGSU Men's Golf Finishes 7th at Hawkeye Intercollegiate

Iowa City, Iowa - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished seventh at this weekend's Hawkeye Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Iowa in Iowa City. The Falcons ended with a 54-hole team score of 900 (302-304-294). The round of 294 was the fourth-best of all teams on the final day.
The host Hawkeyes won the nine-team tournament with a score of 871 (296-289-286).
Junior Heath Ziglar finished tied for 13th with a three-round score of 222 (74-75-73). Senior Craig Pickerel was not far behind, finishing 15th with a score of 223 (76-75-72). Other Falcon finishers included junior Chris Leake (T-21st, 226), freshman Jace Walker (T-28th, 229), and sophomore Brad Dearsman (T-41st, 234).
BGSU continues its fall season with the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, Oct. 4-5, in Yorktown, Ind. The tournament is hosted by Ball State.
