Bowling Green Falls Behind Marshall

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia - The Falcons traveled to take on the Herd of Marshall but fell short with a final score of 126 behind Marshall's 172. The Falcons swam well but were unable to edge past the Herd.
Bowling Green's 200-medley relay team of Brit O'Conner, Erin Dilkes, Dana Schultz, and Stephanie Buckner posted a second place finish (1:52.66). Following the lead of their teammates, the 400 freestyle relay team of Caroline Keating, Stephanie Buckner, Jessica Guinness, and Dana Schultz also took second place (3:38.45).
Along with Keating's second place finish in the relay, she was also able to post a first place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:54.24) and the 100 freestyle (54.23). She also came up strong in the 500 freestyle with a second place finish (5:02.70).
Schultz and Dilkes were also top swimmers for the Falcons. Schultz posted a first place finish in the 100 butterfly (58.65), and second in the 200 butterfly (2:06.68). Dilkes placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:08.48) and 200 backstroke (2:26.69).
The Falcons will be back to action on Jan. 28 when they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Redhawks of Miami at 5 p.m.
