
Falcons Fall 3-1 to Kent State

The Brown and Orange looked impressive in the 30-25 game one victory, hitting .244 compared to the Flashes' .188. Senior Ashlei Nofzinger and Halm led the Falcon attack with five kills apiece. After taking an 8-1 advantage, the Falcons cruised to the win.
However, the Falcons then dropped three straight games to the Flashes, including two games that required extra points. BGSU lost 35-33 in game two and 31-29 in the game four clincher.
Bowling Green fought off six separate match points, before the Golden Flashes finally sealed the deal with a Danielle Holt game-winning kill in game two.
Junior Chrissy Gothke fell just one kill shy of recording her seventh triple double of the season with nine kills, 69 assists and 12 digs. Gothke's 69 assists topped her previous career-high of 63 which she recorded against Akron on 11/16/04.
Bowling Green stays on the road for their next match at Miami on Thursday, Nov. 3rd. The Falcons will follow up with a contest against Western Michigan two days later in Kalamazoo, Michigan Saturday night.
