
Yee, Schultz Each Capture Two Individual First Place Victories

BOWLING GREEN - In their second Mid-American Conference competition, Bowling Green State University was narrowly edged out by the Eagles of Eastern Michigan, 172-122.
Leading the Falcons were freshman Alisha Yee and senior Dana Schultz with two individual first place finishes. Yee took the 100 Backstroke in 59.31 and the 200 IM in 2:09.63. Fellow freshman Sami Jordan recorded a second behind Yee in the 100 Back. Schultz swam to top honors in the 100 and 200 Butterfly.
The Orange and Brown dominated the relay races with top finishes in the 400 Medley swam by Alisha Yee, Dana Schultz, Kara Ohngren and Stephanie Buckner and the 200 Free consisting of Jessica Guinness, Caroline Keating, Stephanie Buckner and Lisa Hipp.
Other Falcons placing well were Kara Ohngren's second in the 1650 Free, Michael Carriaga's 2:13.02 to earn third in the 200 Fly, and Caroline Keating's runner-up finish in the 500 Free.
Once again, freshman Ashley Belrose paced the Falcon divers with two fifth place finishes on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
The Falcons will return to the water when they host in-state rival Ohio State University on Nov. 3 with events starting at 6:00 p.m.
