Bowling Green, Ohio - The Falcons (2-2) opened the contest on a 22-2 run and never looked back as they defeated the Urbana Blue Knights (1-3), 85-50, on Saturday afternoon at Anderson Arena.
Junior Martin Samarco produced 18 first half points while the Bowling Green defense forced 12 turnovers and allowed just five field goals on 26 attempts. The Blue Knights, playing their third game in four days, missed on their first 15 shots.
Samarco set a new career-high as he led BGSU with 23 points on 9- 13 from the field. Freshman Erik Marschall also eclipsed his high water mark as he contributed 16 points before fouling out late in the second half.
Josh Davis and Marques Fobbs paced NAIA member Urbana with 10 points apiece.
The Orange and Brown will return to action on Wednesday, November 30 when they host the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. Tip- off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
