Falcon Divers Place Well in Narrow Loss to Ohio

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Despite losing to the visiting Bobcats of Ohio, the Orange and Brown had one of their best meets of the 2005-2006 season. The Falcon divers dominated OU with Jill Auer's first place on the 3-meter board while freshman Ashley Belrose took a first on the 1-meter board and second on the 3-meter board. Freshman Sarah Parker placed third in each of the events.
As a unit, BGSU brought home the top marks seven times, with fifteen additional top three finishes.
Senior Dana Schultz continued her reign over the Butterfly events with two first place finishes in the sprint categories, while MAC medalists Caroline Keating and Stephanie Buckner swam to victory in the 1000 Free and the 50 Free, respectively. Kara Ohngren, Alisha Yee, Kim Albin and Jessica Guinness each scored for the Falcons despite picking up a top finish.
The Falcons will face their next conference opponent when they travel to Muncie, Ind. to swim Ball State University. The MAC meet is scheduled for Nov. 11 with a start time of 5:00 p.m. CST.
