LITTLE ROCK (AP) -- Rashad Jones-Jennings scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Arkansas-Little Rock to a 68-60 victory Saturday over Bowling Green.
The Trojans led 27-21 at intermission despite a 28 percent shooting effort in the first half while Bowling Green hit 47 percent of its shots from the field.
Free throws made up for the poor shooting from the field, with UALR sinking 12-of-16 during the first half while Bowling Green made just 2 of 4 from the line. The edge wasn't as big in the second half, but the Trojans still finished with a 33-of-46 free-throw effort to outpoint Bowling Green's 11-of-16 performance from the line
Jones-Jennings was one of two UALR players with 12 points -- with De'Andre Eggins comming off the bench to score a dozen -- while Lekheythan Malone and Elijah Muldrow both scored 14 points for the Trojans (4-3).
Leading all scorers was Matt Lefeld of Bowling Green (2-5), with 17 points. Erik Marschall was the only other player for the visitors who scored in double digits, with 10 points.
