DEKALB, Ill. (AP) - Cory Sims scored a team-high 17 points to lead Northern Illinois to a 72-61 victory over Bowling Green in a Mid-American Conference game Wednesday night.
The Huskies (10-15, 6-10 Mid-American Conference) rallied from an early 19-8 deficit, taking a 32-25 lead into halftime before a home crowd of 2,502 at DeKalb's Convocation Center.
In addition to Sims, two other players also scored in double-digit figures for Northern Illinois. Anthony Maestranzi had 16 points and Mike McKinney added 15.
Bowling Green (16-8, 9-6) had just two players in double digits. John Reimold had a game-high 22 points and Josh Almanson scored 14 for the Falcons.
