Falcons Capture Dual Meet Victory

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green hosted visiting Akron and Buffalo on Friday at Cooper Pool. The Falcons were defeated by Akron 159-141 but were able to top Buffalo 189-111. Bowling Green produced an even performance by all swimmers.
Bowling Green's relay teams proved to be successful by capturing second third and fourth place in the 200 yard medley. The 200 free relay team was able to take second place with a time of 1:38.19.
Kara Ohngren was able to take first place in the 1650 free with a time of 17:17.63, as well as a third place finish in the 200 IM (2:10.98).
As well as being a part of the second place finishing 200 free relay team, Caroline Keating posted a first place finish in the 200 free (1:53.45), as well as the 500 free (5:05.63).
Erin Dilkes was a member of the second place 200 medley relay team as well as the first place finisher in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.73. She also posted a third place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.99).
Jennifer Betts had a strong performance with a fourth place finish in the 200 medley relay combined with a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.57), and a first place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.12.
A member of the second place 200 medley relay team and second place 200 freestyle relay team, Dana Schultz, came out with a second place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:06.80) and 100 butterfly (58.34).
The Falcons return to Cooper Pool on Saturday to host the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure at 1 p.m.
