Three X-Country Falcons Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Earlier today the MAC announced the award recipients of the Academic All-MAC squad and three women from the cross country team were chosen to the list.
Roflow is no stranger to the list as this is her second year on the cross country list and her fourth all-year honor. She earned the honor both last winter and spring for her academic and athletic achievements on the track. The junior and Cinncinnati, Ohio native with a 3.8421 GPA majoring in accounting won two meets this season (Toledo Dual and Mel Brodt). She was also chosen as the MAC Runner of the Week twice (Sept 5, Oct 10). She finished in the top 50 at the prestigious Roy Griak Invite with a time of 22:30 for the 6K. She was the DI Champion at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 18:24. She also finished fourth at the Falcon Invite with a time of 18:01. At the MAC Championships she was seventh, one spot higher than last season.
Hillman and Butler are newcomers on the list. Butler, a sophomore, is an Okemos, Mich. native with a 3.862 GPA majoring in Biology. She finished 14th at the Mel Brodt Invitational with a time of 19:36 and finished 40th at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 20:00. She also finished 45th at the Falcon Invite with a time of 19:29--there were 195 runners in the field. At the MAC Championships, Butler finished 31st, 18 spot higher than in 2005. Hillman, a junior and a Westerville, Ohio native with a 4.0 GPA majoring in early childhood education. She finished 11th at the Mel Brodt Invitational with a time of 19:11 and 24th at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 19:35 as well as 33rd at the Falcon Invite with a time of 19:13 where there were 195 runners in the field. At the MAC Championships she finished 43rd.
