Hunter Van Houten became the second member of the Class of 2010 to join the Falcon Men's Soccer team. The Valparaiso, Ind. native will bring an impressive resume to Bowling Green this fall.
Van Houten was an integral member of the 2004 Indiana State Championship team and was named first-team All-State in 2005. He lettered four times in as many years under coach Danny Jeftich.
As a member of the Chicago Magic, one of the most prolific youth programs in the United States, Van Houten won the 2005 Illinois State Cup and was the Region 2 semifinalist.
He has also been an Indiana ODP State selection from 2000 - 2004 while being named to the ODP Region 2 Pool in 2004.
Coach Fred Thompson commented, "Hunter is a midfielder that knows how to play. He is responsible both with and without the ball. He is a very capable passer of the ball and is able to make others around him better. I can see him making an immediate contribution with his intelligence and solid play."
