ATHENS, Ohio (AP) - Leon Williams had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead Ohio to a 67-49 win over Bowling Green on Thursday night.
Jerome Tillman added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Bobcats (11-4, 2-0 Mid-American Conference), who started the game on an 18-3 run to take a lead that never dipped below double-digits after that. Stephen King added 12 points on four 3-pointers.
Williams was 6-of-7 shooting and made eight of 11 free throw attempts.
Bowling Green's Martin Samarco was held to 12 points on 4-of-20 shooting, coming off a game against Buffalo on Sunday in which he scored 43 points. Nate Miller led the Falcons (10-5, 1-1) with 17 points. Both had five rebounds.
Ohio took a 32-13 lead at halftime on 46 percent shooting (11-of-24) while holding Bowling Green to about 17 percent (4-of-23). The Bobcats led by as much as 21 points in the second half.
Ohio scored 20 points off 21 Bowling Green turnovers.
