BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team placed four golfers in the top-40 (90 competitors total) en route to 36-hole score of 588, ninth overall at the EKU Spring Intercollegiate. The Falcons, who are just nine strokes out of fourth place, will complete the two day event on Saturday.
Leading the way was junior Trevor Spathelf, who carded a 72-73=145, who currently sits in a tie for 22nd.
Also competing for the Orange and Brown were John Power (147, T-33rd), Andrew Ladwig (148, T-40th), Matt Schneider (148, T-40th) and Jace Walker (152, T-58th). Powers, Ladwig and Schneider are all first-year Falcons.
Day two of the competition is set for 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
