The Bowling Green State University men's golf team climbed two spots on the final day of competition at the EKU Spring Intercollegiate to finish t-seventh in the 15-team field with a 54-hole score of 886. Host Eastern Kentucky won the event with a team score of 837.
Freshman John Powers had arguably his best performance of his brief Falcon career, posting a 221 (74-73-74), finishing in a tie for 32nd.
Junior Jace Walker carded a 71 on the final day of competition for a three round total of 223, placing him in a tie for 38th.
Also competing for the Orange and Brown were Andrew Ladwig (223, T-38th), who continues his strong spring campaign, Trevor Spathelf (224, T-40th) and Matt Schneider (226, T-50th).
Up next for the Falcons is a trip to Huntington, West Virginia for the Marshal Invitational, set for April 6-7.
