In a tournament that featured eight Mid-American teams, just days before the MAC Championships, the Bowling Green State University men's golf team shot a 36-hole score of 597 (297-300) to place them seventh in the 16-team field. Compared to other MAC schools, the Falcons trail Akron (576), Eastern Michigan (584) and Ohio (596), and are currently ahead of Ball State (601), Northern Illinois (601), and Miami (601).
Leading the way for the Falcons was Jace Walker. The junior carded a 76-71, currently sitting in a tie for 20th.
A trio of freshman, Andrew Ladwig (149, T-26th), John Powers (150, T-33rd) and Matt Schneider (151, T-38th) along with junior Trevor Spathelf (167, 95th) round out the top five for the Orange and Brown.
The third and final round begins at 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
