BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's golfer Andrew Ladwig earned Mid-American Conference honors this week with a first-place finish at the Purdue Midwest Shootout and a third-place finish at the John Piper Intercollegiate. This is Ladwig's first MAC award.
Ladwig had a very impressive start to his second season with the Orange and Brown. He opened the fall campaign with a 71 at the Purdue Midwest Shootout, to finish in a five-way tie for medalist. The 71 matched his career-best, set last season.
Just 48 hours later he carded back-to-back 68's at the John Piper Intercollegiate to card a 36-hole score of 136, matching the school record for 36 holes. He finished the tournament with a 73 to shoot 209, one shot off the BGSU all-time record of 208 for 54 holes. He finished third in the tournament.
