Men's Golf in Fourth After Two Rounds

MUNCIE, Ind. - After 36 holes, two Falcons sit in the top-10 at the Earl Yestingsmeier Tournament in Muncie, Ind.
Through two rounds the Falcons have a combined score of 570, 5 strokes out of second place. Leading the flock for the Falcons is senior Jace Walker. In the first round, Walker birdied four times to finish the round at 2-under. Walker continued his momentum, sinking birdie putts three more times to finish the day 3-under and tied for third place.
Trailing Walker by a slim margin is Matt Schneider who is currently sitting at 1-over. Schneider finished with a 69 on the par-70 course in his first round. Schneider bogeyed twice on the front nine in his second round to finish the day T-9.
Andrew Ladwig sits 3-over after 36 holes. Ladwig finished his first round of the day firing home four birdies on his way to even par. He would then shoot 3-over par in his second round to finish in a tie for 15th.
Bowling Green native, John Powers currently sits at 11-over. Powers improved from his first round score of 77 to shoot a 74 in the second round of play.
Following Powers by two strokes is Gavin Aldridge. The junior transfer carded a 153 for the day (75, 78). Aldridge sank 3 birdie putts and 20 more putts for par in the first two rounds of play in Muncie.
Competing as an individual in the Invitational is senior Russell Goodwin. After 72 holes, Goodwin sits in a tie for 78th place. His score of 78 in the first round was replicated in the second round for a two-round score of 156.
The Falcons wrap-up play tomorrow with their final round of the Earl Yestingsmeier Tournament in Muncie, Ind. at 9 a.m.
