Men's Golf Tees Off At Bearcat Invitational On Monday

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team will participate this week in the 2009 University of Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational, to be held at the par-72 Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Kentucky. The action begins on Monday, October 12th and continues through Tuesday, October 13th.
Both days will began at 9:00am with a shotgun start. The tournament will consist of three rounds and 54 holes. The first 36 holes will be played on Monday, and the tournament will conclude with a final 18 on Tuesday.
Joining the Falcons in fhe 15-team field will be MAC foes Ball State, Miami University and Ohio University. Also participating are Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Cleveland State, Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Oakland University, Western Kentucky, Wright State and Youngstown State.
In their last outing, the Falcons placed seventh at the Xavier Invitational. Both Matt Schneider and Drew Preston shot a 216 to finish in the top fifteen, while Parker Hewit tied for 24th place with a score of 218. Wes Gates (227) and John Powers (231) were also part of the Orange and Brown contingent.
