Cameron Hepple Named to All-MAC Second Team
November 13, 2009 | Men's Soccer
The All-MAC Team and specialty award winners are the results of voting by the league's seven head coaches.
Hepple earns all-conference honors for the second time in his career, having been named to the All-MAC Second Team as a sophomore in 2007.
Hepple, a native of Nassau, Bahamas (St. Andrew's), led the Falcons in scoring in 2009, with 10 goals and 21 points. He scored nearly half of BG's goals on the year, including game-winning goals against both Marshall and Florida Atlantic.
Hepple amassed his point total in just 12 matches, missing all of six contests and parts of two others due to injury.
As of Friday, Hepple is tied for second in the MAC in goals per game (0.83), and is third in the league in goals, points and points per game (1.75).

Hepple had three multiple-goal games on the season, including a hat trick against Dayton and two-goal contests in MAC wins over Buffalo and FAU. His totals of 10 goals and 21 points are the highest by a Falcon in four years.
Hepple finished his Falcon career with 17 goals, nine assists and 43 points in the Brown and Orange.
The Falcons finished the season with an overall record of 3-12-3, and BGSU finished fifth in the seven-team league with a 2-3-1 MAC mark.
Akron's Teal Bunbury was named the MAC Player of the Year, while teammate Zarek Valentin was voted the league's newcomer of the year. UA's Caleb Porter won MAC Coach-of-the-Year honors.
