The event is part of a renewed effort to expose the region's top high-school-aged players to BGSU and its proud soccer tradition, as well as give participants a first-hand look at a collegiate training environment.
Falcon head coach Eric Nichols, assistant coaches Paul Habrecht and Eric Pfeifer and other top collegiate coaches from around the Midwest will provide instruction at the academy, which will be held at the Perry Fieldhouse. There will be two sessions, with the morning session running from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon session lasting from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Participants will get the chance to experience what it is like to train in a collegiate environment with high-level players and college coaches. The academy will include instruction in both team sessions and full-sided match settings.
Registration begins Monday (Nov. 23), and the deadline to register is Monday, Jan. 4. For more information or to register for the College Soccer Academy, click on the PDF near the top of the page.
