
Falcons Compete In Two Events On Final Day Of Len Paddock Invitational

Ann Arbor, Mich. - Whitney Hartman placed second in the shot put and fourth in the discus as the Bowling Green track and field team competed at the Len Paddock Invitational, hosted by the University of Michigan, Saturday. The Falcons used a limited squad and had just three athletes compete in two events on the second day.
Hartman's toss of 13.97 meters was good enough to defeat 17 other competitors at the meet. She finished behind only Central Michigan's Norianna Brown but set a personal best with the heave. Hartman also threw the discus 46.41 meters to place fourth overall.
Ashley Harris finished ninth in the shot put with a toss of 12.64 meters and 11th in the discus at 39.43 meters. Jessie Roland finished 15th in the shot put at 11.47 meters.
Bowling Green will head to the MAC Championships hosted by Akron beginning Thursday.
