Women’s Basketball Falcons host PINK ZONE Game this Saturday
February 09, 2010 | Women's Basketball
The BGSU women's basketball team will host their annual PINK ZONE game in support of breast cancer awareness this Saturday, February 13. The Falcons will battle the Ohio Bobcats, with tipoff set for 2:00 p.m. at venerable Anderson Arena. The game is also the front-end of a special 2 FOR $10 SATURDAY* ticket deal. For only $10, fans can get a ticket to the BGSU-Ohio women's basketball game, as well as a ticket to the Bowling Green hockey home game later in the day. The Falcon icers will take on #1-ranked Miami at 5:05 p.m. at the BGSU Ice Arena.
Formerly known as "Think Pink," the PINK ZONE initiative, created by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), began in 2007 as a unified effort to raise awareness for breast cancer through women's basketball, both on campuses and in communities.
All fans are encouraged to wear PINK in support of the initiative. As in years past, the Falcon women will be wearing special PINK t-shirts during pre-game warm-ups (courtesy of BGSU Bookstore), stat inserts for the game's program will be printed on PINK paper, and "Colleges Against Cancer," the American Cancer Society's on-campus student organization, will have an informational table in the main lobby of Anderson Arena through Halftime.

* Fans who already have a ticket for one of the two games can simply present it in-person/walk-up for a $5 ticket to the other game. Offer only valid for a $5 ticket to each event (not two $5 tickets to one of the events).
