2010 Doyt Perry Florida Classic A Success

The Falcon spirit was alive at the third annual Doyt Perry Florida Classic held at the Vineyards Country Club in beautiful Naples, Florida on Feb. 21 and 22. Well over 100 Falcons attended the "Falcon Greats Reception and Dinner" hosted by George and Julie Schmelzle and heard university and athletic updates from President Carol Cartwright, Athletic Director Greg Christopher and Head Football Coach Dave Clawson. On Monday, Falcons hit the links for a scramble that resulted in the first prize going to the team captained by Coach Clawson with team members Todd Powell ('92 football), Pat McGohan ('66 golf), and Tom Bohard ('69 golf).

The fourth annual event is scheduled again for the Vineyards on Feb. 20 and 21, 2011.
