RESULTS

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished 18th at the Rio Verde Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 998 (328-333-337) in Rio Verde, Ariz.

On the final day of competition the Falcons shot a 337, led by freshman Susy Grunden's 81. Junior Lauren Glew carded an 84 for the second day in a row and senior Hannah Lambert and Paula DiFrancesco each carded 86's. Marisa Glew's 90 in the final round did not count towards the Falcons' team score.

Overall Grunden finished in a tie for 37th, firing a 235 (74-80-81). Her 74 on day one was one shot shy of her personal-best as well as one shot shy of BGSU's all-time low round by a Falcon freshman (which Grunden owns). Her 235 was 11th best among Mid-American Conference competition.

Lauren Glew finished in a tie for 86th with a 54-hole score of 251. After opening with an 83 she fired back-to-back 84's.

Also competing for the Orange and Brown were Lambert (85-84-86 - 255, 90th), Marisa Glew (86-85-90 - 261, 93rd) and DiFrancesco (89-90-86 - 265, 96th).

The Falcons won't return to action until Apr. 6, when they will compete at the Longaberger Spring Cup Challenge in Nashport, Ohio.
