Blanton, Fulk Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player T.J. Blanton and softball player Hannah Fulk.
Male Athlete of the Week
T.J. Blanton, a senior from Sandusky, Ohio, hit .471 and slugged 1.059 over four games this week as the Falcons went 3-1 as a team. Blanton also notched nine RBI, six runs scored, three home runs, and three stolen bases. He finished a triple away from a cycle in Friday's 12-8 win over Miami and then posted a trio of singles and two stolen bases Saturday in a 7-6 win. He ended the weekend with a two-run homer in his first plate appearance Sunday. He also had an inside-the-park home run against Cleveland State in an 8-2 midweek victory.
Female Athlete of the Week
Hannah Fulk, a freshman from Jeromesville, Ohio, hit .500 in six games this week, slugging .611 and posting an on-base percentage of .591. She went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the team's 9-7 win over Akron and followed that up by going 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI in the opening game of a doubleheader the next day at Ohio. Fulk also went 1-for-2 with a double against the nation's wins leader, Jody Valdivia of Notre Dame, earlier in the week.
