March 02, 2026 | General, Men's Basketball, Ice Hockey, Women's Basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (March 2) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations with a trio of guests and the final show of the 2025-26 season. The show will begin at 6 p.m. with head hockey coach Dennis Williams joining the Voice of the Falcons, Todd Walker. Walker will then be joined by head men's basketball coach Todd Simon around 6:20 p.m. followed by assistant women's basketball coach John Nicolais around 6:40 p.m. All three interviews will be in-person at the Bowling Green Fricker's.
This year's show will be hosted in a special room at Fricker's with a maximum capacity of 55. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure an enjoyable and timely experience for all fans, there will not be autograph opportunities — but this creates a more interactive, conversational atmosphere to connect with BGSU coaches and fans.
Fans are encouraged to submit questions by clicking HERE. You can also interact with Todd Walker on Twitter at @FalconsVoice. For fans unable to make the show in person at Fricker's, the show can be heard locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. There will also be streams through BGSUFalcons.com and "The Varsity Network" app from Learfield Sports.
The hockey team is preparing for the Mason Cup Playoffs, beginning this weekend with the quarterfinals. Bowling Green enters as the fifth seed in the field and will head back to Houghton, Mich. to face Michigan Tech after being there last weekend to conclude the regular season. The Falcons won the first game in regulation against the Huskies, 1-0, before taking the second game in overtime, 4-3.
The men's basketball team is coming off a home win that clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament, which will begin on March 12. First, the Falcons will conclude the regular season this week. After a midweek bye, Bowling Green will finish up with Eastern Michigan on Friday (March 6) with a 6:30 p.m. start in Ypsilanti. From there, the MAC Tournament bracket will be known along with BGSU's opponents and start times in Cleveland.
As for women's basketball, they also clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament over the weekend, doing so despite having a bye. The Falcons have two more games left in the regular season, one on the road and one at home. BGSU will begin the week at Central Michigan on Wednesday (March 4) with a 6:30 p.m. tip before concluding the regular season at home on Saturday (March 7) against Northern Illinois at 2 p.m. for Senior Day. Similar to the men's side, the MAC Tournament bracket will be known along with BGSU's opponents and start times in Cleveland.
