June 30, 2010 | General
Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department has reached an agreement with Capturion Network LLC to design and manufacture the video board and scorer's tables that will be located inside the Stroh Center, which is set to open for the 2011-12 school year.
The Stroh Center will be the new home for Bowling Green men's and women's basketball and volleyball and the video board will be 10 feet high by 20 feet wide with fixed sponsor elements and decorative cladding. The courtside scorer's tables and press row will be three feet high by 90 feet wide.
“Capturion is very excited to be providing BGSU with our latest display technology for the Stroh Center,” Vice President of Sales Brant Busby said. “The fans will be able to experience gameday excitement on a new level. We take pride in knowing this installation will be a great success and look forward to building upon our relationship with BGSU for future projects as well.”
The video display will include Capturion's latest LED technology and can operate as one large screen or be divided into multiple sections which have the ability to display real-time statistics, sponsor graphics, 3D animations, and HD live or recorded video.
Accompanying the main video board will be scorer's tables and press row which will also have the latest LED technology from Capturion. With new game control software, all displays can run as one seamless system or completely independent of one another.
