Dan Fischer Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Director of Sports Medicine Doug Boersma has announced the hiring of Dan Fischer as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Fischer received his master's degree in sport administration from Bowling Green in May of 2009 and began his duties July 1.
“Dan is a great hire for our sports medicine team for various reasons,” Boersma said. “He loves BGSU Athletics, is a high-energy person, and has a great work ethic. We're excited to bring him back on board.”
Fischer was a graduate assistant in the BGSU sports medicine department from 2007-09, supervising the athletic training for the men's soccer and softball programs, assisting with football. In his new position, he will work primarily with the men's ice hockey program.
After graduating from Bowling Green, Fischer was named an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Austin Peay State University in September of 2009, where he supervised the volleyball and softball programs. He received his bachelor's degree in sports medicine/athletic training from Missouri State University in May of 2007.
