Men's Soccer Falcons Set to Begin 2010 Preseason

The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team officially begins the 2010 preseason this weekend. The Falcons will have some organizational meetings on Sunday (Aug. 15) before beginning two-a-day practices the following day.
Head coach Eric Nichols begins his second season at the helm of the Falcons. He and assistant coach Paul Habrecht welcome back a total of 14 letterwinners from last year's club. The 2010 edition of the Falcons also has 12 newcomers, including 10 true freshmen and a pair of NCAA Division-I transfers.
The Falcons will have two-a-day practices from Monday (Aug. 16) through Thursday (Aug. 19), before facing Windsor in an exhibition match on Friday, Aug. 20. That contest will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the team's practice field, just east of Cochrane Field.
BGSU has a total of three exhibitions, including an Aug. 22 match at Oakland and a home contest vs. Indianapolis on Aug. 28, before the 2010 regular season begins on Sept. 3 with a trip to North Carolina for the Davidson Tournament.
