Geter, Grunden Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Willie Geter and women's golfer Susy Grunden.
Male Athlete of the Week
Willie Geter, a senior from Miami, Fla., had 31 carries for 100 yards in BGSU's 44-28 win over Marshall Saturday night. He added a career-best 86 receiving yards on five catches, but his greatest impact may have come in the game's final minutes. He carried the ball on 10 consecutive plays to close out the game and never hand Marshall the ball back.
Female Athlete of the Week
Susy Grunden, a sophomore from Krum, Texas, put together the best tournament in BGSU women's golf history with a 210 score over 54 holes to win the 2010 Worldlink North Texas Fall Classic. The score broke the women's 54-hole record by 11 strokes and her first round 69 broke the Falcon women's record for 18 holes. Her 140 first and second round total broke the previous 36-hole record by five shots.
