Brown, Prochaska Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Dee Brown and women's basketball player Lauren Prochaska.
Male Athlete of the Week
Dee Brown, a junior from Detroit, Mich., averaged 14.5 points per game as Bowling Green beat Texas San Antonio 70-59 and then went on the road to beat Saint Louis 67-61 in a three-day span. Brown made 9-of-17 shots on the week and went to the free-throw line 16 times, making 11. He added nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. Against Saint Louis, Brown scored a team-high 21 points and made 3-of-4 free-throws in the final 14 seconds to seal the win.
Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Prochaska, a senior from Plain City, Ohio, scored a game-high 28 points in Bowling Green's 73-64 win at Butler, adding six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Her season-high nine field goals included four three-pointers as BGSU won for the 12th time, setting a new school and MAC record for non-conference victories in a season.
