Four Commit To Bowling Green Softball Next Season

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. -- Bowling Green State University head softball coach Shannon Salsburg has announced that four student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for Bowling Green. Chandler Scott, Marissa Shook, Lexie Valone and Braiden Dillow have all commited for next year. In contrast to last year's recruiting class, the majority of this year's group call Ohio home.
"We are very excited to add such quality players to our softball family," said coach Shannon Salsburg. "We are pleased that we could secure commitments from some of the top players in the state, and believe that all four players can compete immediately for playing time."
Chandler Scott
"Chandler is an exciting pick up for us. We believe she will continue to fine tune her offensive skills in the upcoming years as she continues to get stronger."
"Marisa is a local player with the ability to compete at a high level. She is a smart player with a knack for making plays. Marisa swings a big stick and will look to compete in the outfield next year."

Chandler Scott
Chandler Scott hails from Centerville, Ohio, and currently holds nine offensive records at her high school. Scott, who has been named a Scholar Athlete, has the ability to play first and third base. Scott played her summer ball for the Cincinnati Doom Gold.
"Chandler is an exciting pick up for us. We believe she will continue to fine tune her offensive skills in the upcoming years as she continues to get stronger."
Marissa Shook
Marissa Shook is a Maumee, Ohio native who plays primarily in the outfiled. Shook played for the Wizards Elite during the summer.
"Marisa is a local player with the ability to compete at a high level. She is a smart player with a knack for making plays. Marisa swings a big stick and will look to compete in the outfield next year."
Braiden Dillow
"Braiden is one of the most athletic kids I have seen in some time. She is first and foremost a pitcher, but can also play infield and outfield. Braiden's versatility will allow her many opportunities to step right in and make an impact."
Lexie Valone
"Lexie is a dynamic player whom we are very excited to have in this class. Lexie brings speed and a strong offensive presence to this class. She is a spark plug whom seems to always be in the middle of big innings and plays."

Braiden DIllow is a pitcher and utility player who hails from Lucasville, Ohio. Dillow has been named to the All-State Team for the past two seasons.

Lexie Valone
Lexie Valone is an outfielder who hails from Lemont, Illinois. Valone played her summer ball for the Homer Hawks Gold Betcher.
