Calhoun, Thomas Named All-MAC Honorable Mention

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University redshirt sophomore A'uston Calhoun and junior Scott Thomas were each named to the All-MAC Men's Basketball Honorable Mention team today, by vote of the league's head coaches.
Calhoun, a forward, leads the team in scoring with 12.6 points per game. In conference games only, he ranked 10th in the MAC at 14.7 points per contest. Calhoun is also second on the team in rebounding at 5.7 per game, leads the Falcons with 24 blocked shots, and is tied for the third with 27 steals. He scored in double-figures in 13 of 16 games and had 25 points on 12-of-18 shooting in the team's MAC Tournament First Round victory over Northern Illinois.
Thomas, also a forward, is a versatile player and is the only player in the MAC to rank in the top 10 in the league in both rebounding and assists. He is second on the team at 11.4 points per game and leads the Falcons in rebounding at 6.7 per contest and steals with 65. In fact, the 65 steals rank as the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. He had 12 points, nine assists and five steals in the team's MAC Tournament First Round victory over Northern Illinois.
In all, the MAC named five players on the All-MAC First Team, five more on the second team and 10 honorable mention performers. The league also announced its five-member All-Freshman Team Wednesday.
