Student-Athletes Raise Money For Lake Schools With Talent Show

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the annual Talent Show Sunday night and 15 acts performed for onlookers. The talent show was open to the public with a $2 admission fee benefitting Lake school district. Sarah Reinink, a swimmer who is also the SAAC Vice President, presented Jim and Diane Witt (the Lake Superintendent and his wife) with a check for $528.
Judges for the event were Ashley Baker (Director of Student-Athlete Services), Dave Clawson (Head Football Coach), and Jenn Perry-Edwards (Vocal Music Director at Lake Local Schools). The winner of the event was the team of football players that sang "My Girl", while the track and field team (A Day in the Life) and the ice hockey team (Construction Dance) tied for second. The list of 15 acts were as follows:
1. Football – “Athlete Fashion”
2. Women's Tennis – “Breaking News Report”
3. Men's Cross Country – “Dancing Distance Dudes”
4. Volleyball – “How to Build a House”
5. Football – “Kickin' it Old School”
6. Track and Field– “A Day in the Life”
7. Men's Basketball – “Two Worlds Apart”
8. Swimming – Synchronized swimming
9. Ice Hockey - “Construction Dance”
10. Athletic Trainers – no title
11. Football – “Mickey Swaggs and Jerry P”
12. Women's Basketball – Harry Potter Puppet Pals
13. Men's Soccer – no title
14. Football – “The Orange Peels”
15. Softball and Baseball (joint performance) – “Pie in the Sky”
