Bowling Green, Ohio - The Falcon Spirit Plaza outside of the brand new Stroh Center was dedicated in front of a crowd of donors Thursday afternoon. Sculptor Jon Hair and major contributors Irwin Belk and John Bureau were in attendance at the event.
Hair created the world's largest falcon statue, which is the centerpiece of Falcon Spirit Plaza. The falcon sits on a granite base, which is surrounded by donor bricks with welcoming messages. The plaza will serve as a welcome area for Falcon fans and visitors to BGSU.
The dedication ceremony is the first of a handful of events to celebrate the completion of the Stroh Center, the new home of Bowling Green volleyball and men's and women's basketball.
